Happy Hour, oil on canvas, 18" x 18"

I’m excited to announce my September show at MUSEO in Langley, WA.  I’ve been working hard over the summer to complete new paintings in time for the September 3 opening.  The artists’ reception is from 5 to 7pm on the 3rd and the show will be up through September 26th.

10x10x10 Tieton and Art Port Townsend

I’ve been lax yet again in getting the word out about recent events.  There is still time to catch the 10x10x10 Tieton show in Tieton, WA.  Two of my oil on panel camper paintings juried into the show and have been on view since the mid-August opening.  The show will be up until October 2, 2011.  The drive across the mountains from Seattle is reason enough to make the trek, particularly if you can return via Chinook Pass and Mount Rainier.  It reminded me why I came out to the Pacific NW 25 years ago!  Unfortunately, I totally missed mentioning the Art Port Townsend show that came down last weekend.  Two of my cake paintings were juried in by Gary Faigin, of Gage Academy in Seattle, and Corner Piece (Gluttony), pictured in an earlier blog entry, won a Merit Award.

"Corner Piece"

Catch a preview of my new work at Museo Gallery in Langley, WA.  Saints and Sinners opened with great fanfare on January 22, 2011 and runs through the end of February.  The two paintings I created for the exhibition contrast the virtue of constraint with the sin of gluttony.
